Vacation Skin Checklist

️⃣ Make sure you stock up on your usual skincare before you go. To avoid regressing, don’t wait till you’re empty to re-up. You can even shop travel size skincare here!

️⃣ Tanning + professional skincare don’t mix. If your skincare is showing you results, it’s not compatible with the sun. If you got burned, we want to know, but we can’t erase it. A burn means stopping your actives, and expecting a flare. Prevention is easier than correction. 🫶

️⃣ Hat girl summer, commence! 👒 My preference is always loose, wide brimmed, washable UPF hats that provide extra protection, and won’t create friction on the skin like a baseball hat.

️⃣ Yes, you can still use your retinol on vacay. There’s no evidence of photo-allergy or photo-toxicity with retinoids… As long as you apply spf daily/ reapply when outdoors, your risk of burning from a retinoid is small.

️⃣ SPF— one for the face, one for body and one for reapplication like a spray, stick or powder. Sunscreen is important, but since no spf protects 100%, wearing loose, light UPF blockers/ cover ups are wise to have.

️⃣ Travel, diet and circadian rhythm changes can all affect digestion. Bringing your supps can help keep things… consistent!

️⃣ If you keep one thing in mind on vacay for your nutrition, let it be getting in adequate protein and hydration throughout the day. Fruits + veggies can be harder to come by when traveling, but if you get the chance, add the side of greens or berries.

️⃣ You don’t need to do skincare on the airplane. Instead, give yourself a mini facial upon landing (double cleanse, exfoliation and a mask) to reset.

️⃣ Haven’t you ever noticed your skin looks it’s best on vacay? It’s amazing what a break can do for you and your complexion. ENJOY 😎
